Delivery
Getting to be "powered by FieldAtWork"
The first stage of implementing a field force automation solution is the delivery. At FieldAtWork we believe this is a vital area and can be the difference between a smooth transition to a new way of operating, or a drawn out process that saps time and energy. While delivery is independent of the field force product selected, the nature of the selection may assist the delivery or add to its complexity.
FieldAtWork has developed an approach, built on its many experiences across multiple market segments, and is integral to the success of a solution. We believe the following key areas in the delivery process must be measured and managed to ensure a successful outcomes.
Selection - who will I work with?
The solution selection process is where delivery starts. Rapid advances in both hardware and software makes this a difficult and daunting task. In this rapidly emerging market many solutions look similar and thus the "what if I get it wrong" question often comes up. Field force automation needs to be viewed as a journey and while the initial product selected to assist the journey is important, once paper is replaced, the technology employed over time may change.
The team - who will do it?
Any delivery process requires a team of people. As part of the team, FieldAtWork guides organizations to ensure they have their team in place and the necessary champions are identified. It is important to ensure that the correct business drivers are in place and aligned with an organizations technical resources. The FieldAtWork methodology provides a collaboration framework to allow this to happen, ensuring that all members have visibility as the project progresses.
Getting going - how do I start?
The most difficult part of any journey is the first step. FieldAtWork makes this easy, as we have already created the business templates for many business sectors. Using the software plus service methodology, organisations can start their journey as quickly as they would like, while at the same time managing the risks of field force automation. For organizations who would like to embark on a more 'tailored' journey the business platform supports this, as well by providing the basis for the more advanced usage of the platform and the business toolkit.
The modelling - how will the platform fit?
The FieldAtWork platform is offered as a solution incorporating the vertical intelligence for its target markets of SalesAtWork, ServiceAtWork and FreightAtWork. Every organization varies in how it operates and thus there may be a need to 'configure' the FieldAtWork platform for an organization. Our methodology uses the standard vertical template as the basis for organizations to start and then grow from the template based on their unique business requirements.
The challenges - setbacks or normal events
The dynamic nature of field force automation brings about many challenges. These range from people management, to change management to technical management. The extent of the challenges is dependent on both the process and how they are managed. FieldAtWork's collaboration framework ensures that challenges are treated as part of the operational process and provides visibility to the team so the challenges can be resolved.
Evolving - how do I grow?
The ever changing business landscape ensures that operational changes will occur. These changes come about due to market factors or as a result of an organization utilising field force automation for strategic benefit. As all solutions delivered by FieldAtWork are powered by the FieldAtWork platform, organizations can 'tailor' aspects to suit their requirements, or explore areas of the platform that they could not contemplate before they undertook their field force automation journey. As testimony to this, many organizations have been using our platform for more than 5 years and are still evolving as they grow.
